Hello, my name is Bertrand Defache, I've been a Schmidt shop manager for 14 years and a member of the Schmidt network for 24 years.
Can you tell us about your use of iMapper?
I discovered the iMapper just over 6 months ago, when I was looking for a solution to guarantee measurements, knowing that our sales designers today are not necessarily experts in the field and are always afraid of making a mistake, reversing figures or not taking the right measurements. Today, I'm deploying it in the shop, and more and more sales designers are using it. I think the big advantage will be to standardise the way we take dimensions. The iMapper gives us an instant photograph, which we can use to exchange information (look, there's a radiator here, there's a power point there, there's a constraint) and check the measurements.
What do you think is one of the undeniable advantages of iMapper?
We're doing more and more fitting out these days, and I think that fitting out is even more complex because there are sub-slopes, floors that aren't straight, ceilings that aren't straight, walls that aren't straight and so on. At some point, a scan with the iMapper and you're sure of your angles, you're sure of your dimensions, you're calm when you're drawing, you know there's nothing left to touch up.

Does using iMapper have any impact on the sales process?
Sales designers, who aren't necessarily experienced in all situations, know that with the iMapper they'll have an accurate survey, which will inevitably reassure them when they propose something to a customer, they'll be even more confident and the fact of being sure of being able to do things calmly with a consumer, we all know that it helps the sale, to have a free mind.

How does the iMapper help you after the sale?
The iMapper also helps after the sale. I prepare my order accurately with no stress. I share the measurements with the fitter. He'll have all the information. He can already have a photograph of the room before arriving at the customer's, so he knows where he's going to be, he knows what it looks like, so there are lots of advantages.
Any other comments?
The hardest thing for everyone at the beginning is to have confidence, to say to yourself "OK, before when I read my measurements or when I read what was on my telemeter, we had confidence". I switched from the tape measure to the telemeter, but today with iMapper I have 300% peace of mind.
